Cold Steel Barbell ME Lower Template

May 6, 2009

I have been asked what kind of template we used for our recent meet on May 2, 2009 in Fredericksburg, VA.  We used a mix of stuff that we have discovered helped our deadlifts more so than our squats, basically because we have a dedicated squat day on Saturdays where we work a lot of heavy band tensions already.  So the below template will outline the weekly rotations of the main ME Exercise.  Keep in mind, accessory work is also done that works the glutes, hamstrings, low back, abs, and to some extent quad work as well.  This was the first time we used this template and it worked very well for Blane, who was the only one competing out of gym this past weekend, but it also had very good results for the other lifters here as well as PRs were being set almost weekly, especially on the deadlift movements.  We will repeat this cycle again for the August and September meets that the guys plan to do and we anticipate similar results.

If there are any questions, please feel free to email us at brookman@powerpage.net
